KESSLER’S® is excited to announce that KESSLER’S® Pamana will push through this year!
Now on its second year, KESSLER’S® Pamana continues its promise to promote and support local passionate home bakers and micro food entrepreneurs through a cooking competition.
Following the success of PAMANA 2019, KESSLER’S® is determined to pursue this year’s event despite the current global pandemic. Because we believe that worthy legacies deserve no limitations.
However, safety of the contestants and all other interesting parties is our top priority. This is why for this year, we revised our mechanics to adapt to the current situation of the country.
KESSLER’S® invites you to join this year’s KESSLER’S® Pamana and turn stories and recipes to life-long legacies.
GENERAL MECHANICS
- The contest is open to all Filipino residents of National Capital Region (NCR) and CALABARZON (IV-A) region, Male and Female who are 18 years old and above, food enthusiasts, and micro-entrepreneurs in the food industry with no professional culinary experience.
No professional culinary experience refers to the ff:
- Has NO experience as a chef or assistant chef in a restaurant or any food establishment.
- Has NEVER conducted any type of demos whether for baking or cooking.
- NO consultancy experience.
- NO previous or current work experience involving food such as cooking instructor, R&D, QA, QC, Nutritionist, and other profession that falls on the same category.
- If at any point of the competition it was proven that the participant has the opposite of the above-mentioned criteria, automatic disqualification of the participant will be implemented.
- The contest will commence on October 1, 2020 until November 30, 2020.
- The competition will be announced on the KESSLER’S® Official Facebook Page.
- Submitted recipes can be for baked goods, beverages, or savory as long as the recipes use KESSLER’S® Alkalized Cocoa Powder as the main ingredient.
- Participants must only use Filipino or English when writing their submissions.
- To qualify, the participants must like the Facebook Page and Follow the Instagram account of KESSLER’S® and send an official entry form: http://bit.ly/Pamana2020EntryForm.
- Qualified participants who cannot be reached by the Organizing Committee (OC) through call, text message, or email before the announcement of the finalists will be deemed disqualified from the competition.
- PAMANA 2019 Top 5 winners are not qualified to join this year’s competition.
- There will be one grand winner, a 1st Runner-Up, and a 2nd Runner-up.

SPECIFIC GUIDELINES
First Round
- All interested participants who will fill out the official entry form will be asked for the following:
- Inspiring story of their favorite cooking recipe in 400 words or less.
- Recipe with KESSLER’S® Alkalized Cocoa Powder as the main ingredient.
- Any proof of residency with the participant’s complete name and home address, such as any of the following: Government ID w/ Address, Barangay Certification, or copy of utility bill.
- Each participant should submit one (1) entry only.
- Online official entries will only be acknowledged through the official entry form. Submission through other channels (email, Facebook, IG, etc.) is not allowed.
- Timeline of submissions is from October 1, 2020 – November 8, 2020. Deadline for the submissions of entries is extended until November 10, 2020, 11:59PM.
- The OC will screen the entries and choose the best three (3).
- Top 3 will be notified via phone call and/or email. Qualified participants will also be announced on our official FB page on November 13, 2020.
Criteria for Judging

Second Round
- The top 3 participants will also be required to submit the actual finished dish based on their submitted recipe.
- Finished dish for judging/tasting must be sent to the following addresses on November 16,2020:
- NCR Entries – To be announced
- CALABARZON Entries – HAMBURG Trading Corp Bldg., Lot 1 & 2, Block 2, Meridian Industrial Complex, Brgy. Macabling, Sta. Rosa 4026, Laguna
- Participants must observe proper cooking etiquette while preparing their dish. Precautions such as wearing of hair nets, apron, and masks among others to assure food sanitation. Containers and packaging must be well sanitized as well for the safety of the judges.
- Photos of the Top 3 recipes will be posted in the KESSLER’S® Official Facebook Page on November 18, 2020 for public voting.
- Deadline of Photo reactions will be on November 29, 2020.
- The PAMANA judges will score each of the three (3) winners based on the criteria for judging.
- Announcement of winners will be held on November 30, 2020 via KESSLER’S® Official Facebook Page. Series of games and raffles will also take place during the live stream.
